Cambridge Fun Run is committed to protecting and respecting
your privacy.
This policy (together with the terms and conditions of use of
our website under the domain name http://www.camfunrun.org/ (the
“Website”)) sets out the basis on which any personal data
we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by
us. Please read the following carefully to understand our views and
practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it.

Website and will take effect immediately.

“Act”), the data controller is Cambridge Fun Run.
The Cambridge Fun Run is a group of individual volunteers who
operate with the consent and co-operation of their employers - the
“Organisers”.
Information that we collect from you
When you register on certain areas of the Website you may be
asked to provide relevant personal information about yourself. The
types of information collected might include names, date of birth,
e-mail address, postal address, telephone number, amounts paid and IP
address. Debit/credit card details are held securely by our partner
WorldPay and we do not have access to this information.
We may also collect information about your usage of the
Website as well as information about you from data you post to the
Website and emails or letters you send to us.
We also monitor customer traffic patterns and website use,
which enables us to further develop the Website to be useful to
you.
We will not collect any personal information about you unless
such personal information is relevant and where it is specifically and
knowingly provided by you.
Use of information
We may use your data to contact you about your race entry or
sponsorship and to administer the race fairly. We may use your
information to further our charitable aims, including for fundraising
activities.
We may use and analyse the personal information we collect to
administer, support, improve and develop the Website.
Disclosure of your information
The information you provide to us will be held on our
computers in the European Economic Area and accessed by or given to
our volunteers working within the United Kingdom.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the
Internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to
protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your
data transmitted to the Website; any transmission is at your own
risk. Once we have received your information, we will use procedures
to try to prevent unauthorised access.
Your personal individual data will not be shared with the
Organisers except in aggregate form.
We will not sell or share your information with any other
company or organisation except, where necessary, with BBC Children In
Need.

for system administration and to report aggregate information to our
advertisers. This is statistical data about our users' browsing
actions and patterns and does not identify any individual.

Emails
We will email you about your race entry and to administer the
event. We will not otherwise email you unless (a) you have
specifically given your consent in response to “opt-in”
boxes etc or (b) in response to your emails to us. We will not pass on
your email address to any third parties.
